Harmanpreet Kaur was born on March 8, 1989, in Moga, Punjab, to Satwinder Kaur and Harmandar Singh Bhullar, both volleyball and basketball players. Sikhs are his parents. Her younger sister, Hemjit, is an assistant professor at Guru Nanak College in Moga and has a masters degree in English. After enrolling at the Gian Jyoti School Academy, which is 30 kilometers (19 miles) from his birthplace in Moga and trains under Kamaldish Singh Sodhi, he began playing cricket. Harman used to play with males early in her career. In 2014, she moved to Mumbai and began working for the Indian Railways.<\/p>
