Shimron Odilon Hetmyer is a Guyanese international cricketer, who currently represents the multi-national West Indies cricket team. He is a left-handed, aggressive, and hard-hitting batsman, and bowls right-arm leg-break. Growing up in a cricket-loving neighborhood of Berbice, Hetmyer developed an admirable finesse in his batting style, under the tutelage of his elder brother Seon (a former county cricketer). He received widespread praise for his stunning centuries at club\/county level, eventually making his way to the international stage.<\/p>
Shimron Odilon Hetmyer was born on December 26, 1996, in Cumberland, East Berbice-Corentyne, Guyana, to Gladstone Hetmyer and Ingrid Hetmyer. His father worked at sugar estates before retiring.<\/p>
