American actor Matthew D. Adler was born on December 8, 1966.<\/strong> His supporting parts in the 1980s teen movies Teen Wolf, White Water Summer, North Shore, and Dream a Little Dream are what made him most famous. He is now recording more dialogue for feature films.<\/p> He was one of the final picks, along with Keanu Reeves, Donovan Leitch, and Gary Riley, for the 1986 part of “Bill S. Preston Esquire” in Bill & Ted’s Excellent Adventure. Alex Winter, who had first tried out for the character of Ted “Theodore” Logan, was eventually cast in the role.<\/p> <\/p> <\/p> <\/p> <\/p> <\/p> Adler attended Yale University and Yale Law School, where he was a member of the Yale Law Journal, to receive his B.A. (1984) and J.D. (1991). He was a Marshall Scholar in 1984. As a Marshall Scholar at Oxford University’s St. Antony’s College, he graduated with an M. Litt. in modern history in 1987. He worked as a clerk for Justice Sandra Day O’Connor of the US Supreme Court in 1992\u20131993 as well as Judge Harry T. Edwards of the US Court of Appeals for the D.C. Circuit in 1991\u20131992. In 1994, Adler went on to work as an attorney in New York City at Paul, Weiss, Rifkind, Wharton & Garrison.<\/p> From 1995 until 2012, Adler served as the University of Pennsylvania Law School’s Leon Meltzer Professor of Law. He received the Christian R. and Mary F. Lindback Foundation Award for Distinguished Teaching in 2007, the Harvey Levin Memorial Award for Teaching Excellence at the University of Pennsylvania Law School in 2001 and 2006, and the A. Leo Levin Award for Excellence in an Introductory Course at the University of Pennsylvania Law School in 2010.<\/p> <\/p> <\/p> He is the founding director of the Duke Center for Law, Economics, and Public Policy in addition to being the Richard A. Horvitz Professor of Law and Professor of Economics, Philosophy, and Public Policy at Duke University.<\/p> His publications include Well-Being and Fair Distribution: Beyond Cost-Benefit Analysis (Oxford University Press, 2012), The Oxford Handbook of Well-Being and Public Policy (Oxford University Press, 2016) (co-edited with Marc Fleurbaey), and The Rule of Recognition and the U.S. Constitution (Oxford University Press, 2009) (co-edited with Kenneth Himma). He edits both Philosophy and Economics. He was among the top five Duke Law School mentioned professors in 2018.<\/p> His performance in Flight of the Navigator in 1986, Dinosaur in 2000 and Chronicle in 2012 earned him wide appreciation in Hollywood. Similarly, Matt Adler has worked on various projects during his entertainment career. In 2015, he was seen in the romance of Chris Evans Playing It Cool.
