Bill Gates<\/strong> (born October 28, 1955, Seattle, Washington, U.S.) American computer programmer and entrepreneur who cofounded Microsoft Corporation, the world\u2019s largest personal-computer software company. <\/p> Gates wrote his first\u00a0software\u00a0program at the age of 13. In\u00a0high school\u00a0he helped form a group of programmers who computerized their school\u2019s payroll system and founded Traf-O-Data, a company that sold\u00a0traffic-counting systems to local governments. In 1975 Gates, then a sophomore at\u00a0Harvard University, joined his hometown friend\u00a0Paul G. Allen\u00a0to develop software for the first\u00a0microcomputers. <\/p> <\/p> <\/p><\/figure><\/div>
