Mantri Raksha One of the nation’s most senior political figures is Shri Rajnath Singh<\/a><\/strong>. He became the National President of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) after beginning his political career as a student activist with the Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad (ABVP).<\/p>

In 1991, he was appointed as the state’s minister of education after winning a seat in the Uttar Pradesh Legislative Council in 1988.<\/p>

He made several historic choices while serving as the Education Minister for Uttar Pradesh, including adding the Anti Copying Act and Vedic Mathematics to the curriculum and fixing several inaccurate passages in history textbooks.<\/p>
