While filming his upcoming movie, Project K, in Hyderabad, actor Amitabh Bachchan<\/a><\/strong> had a mishap. Amitabh claimed on his blog on Sunday that he had injured himself while doing an action shot. “Rib cartilage popped broke and there was a muscle tear to the right rib cage,” he wrote.<\/p>

The actor continued, saying that the filming was called off and that, following medical advice, he returned to Mumbai to recuperate fully.<\/p>

Teji Bachchan and Harivansh Rai Bachchan welcomed Amitabh Bachchan into the world on October 11, 1942, in Allahabad. Teji Bachchan, Amitabh’s mother, was a social crusader originally from Punjab, Pakistan’s Faisalabad. Poet Harivansh Rai Bachchan was his father. Ajitabh is Amitabh’s younger brother.<\/p>

Amitabh Bachchan attended Sherwood College in Nainital before graduating. He completed his studies at the University of Delhi’s Kirori Mal College.<\/p>

Career<\/strong><\/h2>

In 1969, Amitabh Bachchan made his professional debut in the National Award-winning film Bhuvan Shome as a voice actor. Saat Hindustani was his feature film debut. Amitabh Bachchan had two hits and twelve disappointments by 1973, making him a perceived failure as an actor. His breakthrough performance came from the 1973 film “Zanjeer,” which several performers rejected. He received his first nomination for Best Actor at the Filmfare Awards with this movie. Following the release of this movie, he took on a new character: the irate young man.<\/p>

He starred in several movies in 1975, including Sholay, Deewaar, Faraar, Mili, and Chupke Chupke. Following Zanjeer, his films Deewar and Sholay catapulted him into superstardom. In 1999, BBC India proclaimed his film Sholay the “Film of the Millennium.”<\/p>

In the 1976 film Adalat, he portrayed both a father and a son. The actor’s portrayal in “Amar Akbar Anthony” earned him his first Filmfare Best Actor Award in 1977.<\/p>

Amitabh Bachchan starred in Suhag in 1979. That year’s highest-grossing film went to the film. In the same year, he makes his acting debut in Mr. Natwarlal.<\/p>

While filming Coolie on July 26, 1982, Amitabh Bachchan sustained an intestinal ailment that almost proved fatal. After spending several months in the hospital, he made a full recovery. When Coolie was released in 1983, it quickly rose to the top of the box office.<\/p>

Following a three-year hiatus from politics in 1984\u20131987, he returned to the film industry in 1988 with the critically acclaimed picture Shahenshah.<\/p>

Amitabh Bachchan hosted Season 1 of Kaun Banega Crorepati (KBC) in the year 2000. He continues to host KBC.<\/p>
