- Moose Wala vigorously promoted his mother, Charan Kaur, who triumphed in the Moosa village sarpanch election in December 2018. To run for the Punjab Legislative Assembly in 2022, Moose Wala joined the Indian National Congress on December 3, 2021. - Moose Wala was shot and killed inside his car on May 29, 2022, in Jawaharke Village, Mansa District, by unidentified assailants. In an unverified Facebook post, which Bishnoi later denied authoring, the Lawrence Bishnoi gang allegedly first claimed responsibility for the murder. As of June 2022, the Lawrence Bishnoi gang is still being detained by the Punjab Police, and the “mastermind” of the murder is still believed to be at large. According to the authorities, Sidhu Moose Wala, his cousin Gurpreet Singh, and his next-door neighbor Gurwinder Singh left their home at about 4:30 p.m.
- Driving his black Mahindra Thar SUV Moose Wala. He was traveling to Barnala to visit his aunt. When the SUV arrived in the village of Jawaharke at about 5:30, two more vehicles halted it. The parents of slain Punjabi singer Shubhdeep Singh Sidhu, popularly known as Sidhu Moosewala, are set to welcome a new member to their family soon. Moosewala’s mother Charan Kaur is pregnant and will be delivering a baby soon, family sources confirmed.
Moosewala, who had unsuccessfully contested the Punjab Assembly elections on a Congress ticket from Mansa in 2022, was murdered on May 29 that year.
