Shoaib Malik opened his eyes into this world in a Kakazai Pashtun family on February 1, 1982 in Sialkot, Pakistan. He is a renown Pakistani cricketer and the former captain of the Pakistani side from 2007 to 2009. He made his One-Day International debut in 1999 and test debut in 2001. On 3rd November 2015, he announced his retirement from Test cricket to focus on 2019 Cricket World Cup. On 2 July 2018, he became the first male cricketer to play 100 T20s.
Malik has taken over 150 ODI wickets. His bowling action came into scrutiny but he went through a surgery to correct it. Shoaib received a one year ban from PCB which overturned two months later. This cricketer also became the first Asian batsman to score 2,000 runs in T20s and third overall.

Controversies | Accused of Chucking Shoaib Malik who alledegly copied the bowling action of Pakistan spinner Saqlain Mushtaq was reported for chucking in 2002 and 2004. Althought the improved International Cricket Council (ICC) rules permitted an elbow flex of up to 15 degrees, some biomechanical tests showed that his action was above the permissible limits. However, in November 2005, he was cleared of his suspected illegal bowling action.
