Born on December 6, 1988, Ravindrasinh Anirudhsinh Jadeja is an Indian international cricket player who plays for the Indian national team in all formats. He was the Chennai Super Kings’ previous captain. He is an all-around player who bowls left-arm orthodox spin and bats left-handed. In 2021, he became the fifth Indian and fifth-fastest player to reach 2,000 runs and take 200 wickets in Test cricket. He is considered one of the best all-rounders of the past ten years. Ravindra Jadeja Early Life and Education
Initially, Ravindra Jadeja’s father wished for his son to enlist in the army. Still, Jadeja fulfilled his father’s aim of serving his country in a unique way. Living in a one-room apartment was nothing new to his family. Even before she was ten, Jadeja was excessively immersed with cricket. A former cricketer on the sidelines, Mahendrasinh Chauhan coached young children at Cricket Bungalow. Jadeja was able to enter it in some way. He was a quick bowler in the beginning, but Chauhan advised him to turn to left-arm spin later on. Jadeja began participating in a lot of age-group competitions and gained recognition over time.
Ravindra Jadeja Domestic Career
In 2005, Jadeja made his Under-19 cricket team debut for India at the age of 16. He was included in the squad for the Under-19 World Cup in 2006.
In the 2006–07 Duleep Trophy, he played for West Zone and made his first-class debut. Later that year, he began competing in the Ranji Trophy for Saurashtra.
In 2008, Jadeda collected 10 wickets in 6 matches while serving as vice captain of the Under-19 World Cup-winning squad. He was an important member of the team.
In the 2008-09 Ranji season, Jadeja showed his strong all-round skills and ended up the season with 42 wickets and 739 runs.

Ravindra Jadeja International Career
Jadeja attracted the attention of national selectors following his outstanding performance in the 2008–09 Ranji Trophy. He was chosen to play in the Sri Lankan ODI series.
On February 8, 2009, Ravindra Jadeja made his debut for his country against Sri Lanka in an ODI, during which he amassed 60 runs. He made his national team T20I debut two days later on February 10.
He was chosen for the 2009 World T20 squad after taking several solid knocks, however he could not live up to expectations with some mediocre outings. Jadeja kept his spot on the squad because the team needed a capable all-around player.
Jadeja won his first Man of the Match title in 2009 after collecting four wickets in a match against Sri Lanka. For a long while, he was in and out of the team. Jadeja achieved his first-ever Test half-century in 2014. His poor performances in 2015 led to his exclusion from the ODI team. He did, however, continue to be a member of the test team.
He took 25 wickets and two half-centuries in the 2017 series against Australia, earning him the title of Man of the Series. He received the highest score on the tests that year.
Jadeja claimed his 200th wicket in a test match in 2019. He has been an essential member of a squad in every format since then.
Jadeja recently broke the record for most runs by a batter ranked seven or lower in a test match against Sri Lanka, scoring 175 runs.
