Ram Charan (Indian actor & Film Producer) Biography

Ram Charan’s full name is Ram Charan Teja an Indian actor producer and businessman who primarily works in Telugu films. He is one of the highest-paid Telugu film actors and has won two Nandi Awards and three Filmfare Awards. He has appeared in Forbes India’s Celebrity 100 list since 2013.

With the box office success of Chirutha (2007), Charan made his acting debut and took home the Filmfare Best Male Debut Award. The fantasy action movie Magadheera (2009) directed by S. S. Rajamouli catapulted him to fame and earned him the Filmfare Best Actor Award at the time.

Racha (2012), Naayak (2013), Yevadu (2014), Govindudu Andarivadele (2014), and Dhruva (2016) are some of his well-known works. After that Charan appeared in the box office successes Rangasthalam (2018) for which he received his second Filmfare Best Actor Award and RRR (2022) which brought in more than 1150 crore globally.

In 2016 Charan established his own production company Konidela Production Company which has notably supported Khaidi No. 150 (2017) and Sye Raa Narasimha Reddy (2019). Childhood and Family

Ram Charan’s father is Telugu actor Chiranjeevi and Ram’s mother is Surekha. He was born in Madras (now called Chennai). He has two siblings – Sushmitha (elder sister) and Sreeja (younger sister).

He is the nephew of Nagendra Babu, Pawan Kalyan, and Allu Aravind and the grandson of Allu Ramalingaiah. He is the cousin of Niharika Konidela, Panja Vaissnav Tej, Sai Dharam Tej, Allu Sirish, and Varun Tej.

His cousin is the well-known Tollywood star Allu Arjun. Despite being well-known as Chirenjeevi’s son Ram Charan is also the great-grandson of Allu Ramalingaiah a doctor who participated actively in India’s freedom war. He performed in over a thousand Telugu movies and was also a well-known comedian. His paternal uncles are the actor Pawan Kalyan and the director Nagendra Babu while his maternal uncle is the director Allu Aravind. He obviously has a lot of cinematic experience.

The actor’s wife, Upasana Kamineni, is the vice-chairman of Apollo Charity and the chief editor of B Positive magazine. Kamineni is the granddaughter of Prathap C. Reddy, the executive chairman of the Apollo Hospitals and the daughter of Shobana Kamineni.

Rama and Upasana got engaged in December 2011 and got married on June 14, 2012, at Hyderabad’s Temple Trees Farm House. Charan and Kamineni were classmates at the same school in Chennai Tamil Nadu till ninth grade according to a NewsX article.

Ram Charan has announced that he’ll be producing the new movie The India House starring Nikhil Siddhartha and Anupam Kher.

The historical action-romance film is set in pre-independence London and tells the story of a romantic relationship that blossoms during the political unrest that covers India House. The India House is scheduled to open in theatres on April 14, 2024.

ISPL 2024: Actor Ram Charan buys Hyderabad Team; All you need to know about T10 league.

Telugu superstar Ram Charan has officially purchased the Hyderabad team in the Indian Street Premier League (ISPL), a T10 cricket tournament. The actor made the announcement on X (formerly Twitter), saying he is ‘happy to announce my ownership of Team Hyderabad in the Indian Street Premier League!’

“Excited to announce my ownership of Team Hyderabad in the Indian Street Premier League! Beyond cricket, this venture is about nurturing talent, fostering community spirit, and celebrating street cricket’s essence. Join me as we elevate Hyderabad’s presence in the ISPL, crafting memorable moments and igniting passion,” the RRR actor wrote.

The official promo of the Hyderabad team shared by Ram Charan showed a group of excited players practicing for the game. The inaugural season of the ISPL is scheduled to kick off next year, commencing on March 2 and concluding on March 9 in Mumbai. The league will feature six teams representing Hyderabad, Mumbai, Bengaluru, Chennai, Kolkata, and Srinagar (Jammu and Kashmir). The total number of matches played will be 19.

To get selected, aspiring cricketers will have to register their profiles on the ISPL website. The committee will choose the players based on their skills mentioned in the profile.
