E. L. James is a self-confessed fangirl and hopeless lover. Twenty-five years of working in TV made her decide to follow a childhood dream and write stories that people would feel connected to. The result was the sexy and controversial romance Fifty Shades of Grey and its two follow-ups, Fifty Shades Darker and Fifty Shades Freed. In 2015, she wrote Grey, the #1 bestseller that told the story of Fifty Shades of Grey from Christian Grey’s point of view. The next year, she wrote Darker, the #1 bestseller that told the second part of the story from Christian’s point of view. More than 165 million copies of her books have been sold around the world.
