Prasidh Krishna is an Indian cricketer who was born on February 19, 1996, in Karnataka, India. He is a right-handed batsman who bowls right arm medium. He was purchased by the Kolkata Knight Riders for the 2018 IPL season to replace the injured Kamlesh Nagarkoti. He made his List A debut for Karnataka in the 2016-17 Vijay Hazare Trophy on February 25, 2017. He made his Twenty20 debut for Karnataka in the 2017-18 Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy on January 21, 2018.

Murli Krishna, his father, was engaged in cricket and had a well-known name in the community. His mother, Kalawati Krishna, is an ex-volleyball player. He has a younger sister called Prakurthi Krishna. Prasidh Krishna was not initially interested in cricket; he preferred volleyball and running. However, at the age of 12, he attended the Basavanagudi Cricket Academy in Bengaluru and began to notice his abilities. Following that, he played for his school cricket team, where he honed his bowling talents under former first-class player Prahladrao Srinivasa Murthy. He began playing for the Karnataka under-19 squad in 2013, after three years of playing for the under-14 team while attending Carmel School in 2010.

Prasidh was featured in highlights from Bangladesh A’s 2015 visit of India. On his first-class debut for Karnataka, he went 5 for 49 in a tour match against Bangladesh A. He delivered an outstanding effort despite the unavailability of all three frontline Karnataka pace bowlers.Prasidh dismissed Rony Talukdar with his first delivery and went on to dismiss Anamul Haque, Soumya Sarkar, and Nasir Hossain in his first stint, reducing Bangladesh A to 41/5. Team Karnataka won the match by four wickets.

Prasidh made his List A debut for Karnataka in 2016-17, during the Vijay Hazare Trophy on February 25, 2017. He made his Twenty20 debut for Karnataka in 2017-18, at the Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy on January 21, 2018. Krishna was the leading wicket-taker for Karnataka in the 2018-19 Vijay Hazare Trophy, with thirteen dismissals in seven matches.

In 2018, the IPL franchise Kolkata Knight Riders acquired him throughout the season to replace the injured Kamlesh Nagarkoti. Later, on May 6, 2018, Krishna made his IPL debut against the Mumbai Indians, replacing the injured Shivam Mavi.

Prasidh first highlighted during Bangladesh A’s tour of India in 2015, taking 5 for 49 on first-class debut for Karnataka in a tour match against Bangladesh A. Karnataka win the match by 4 wickets. In the 2018–19 Vijay Hazare Trophy, He was the leading wicket-taker for Karnataka , with thirteen dismissals in seven matches. During the 2021-22 Ranji Trophy, Prasidh took his maiden first-class ten-wicket against Jammu and Kashmir.

Before Started career in IPL, He was a net bowler for Royal Challenger Bangalore, Kings XI Punjab and Kolkata Knight Riders. He started playing IPL for Kolkata Knight Riders on 6 May, 2018, Against Mumbai Indians. He Played with KKR for 3 years and after that he was bought by the Rajasthan Royals for ₹10 Cr in the Mega auction for the 2022 Indian Premier League tournament.

Prasidh International career

He played his first International ODI match on 23 March, 2021 against England. He took 4 wickets on his first day with an economy of 6.61. His maiden international wicket was Jason Roy. He also Took the wickets of Ben Stokes, Sam Billings, and Tom Curran in his first match.
