Born on September 16, 1992, Nicholas Jerry Jonas is an American actor, singer, and songwriter. At the age of seven, Nick Jonas started performing on Broadway. In 2002, he published his debut song, which attracted the attention of Columbia Records. There, he created the Jonas Brothers band with his elder brothers, Kevin and Joe.

Raised in Wyckoff, New Jersey, Jonas received homeschooling instruction from his mother. At the age of six, Jonas was discovered in a barbershop while his mother was getting her hair cut. He was then recommended to a professional show business manager, which marked the beginning of his career. At the age of seven, he made his Broadway debut, playing a variety of parts including Tiny Tim, Chip Potts, Little Jake, and Gavroche. Together with his father, Jonas penned “Joy to the World (A Christmas Prayer)” while he was a cast member in Beauty and the Beast (2002). August 8, 2006 saw the release of the group’s It’s About Time (2006) first album. The label didn’t really support the record and wasn’t interested in doing any more promotion for the band. In its first run, There was only a 50,000 copy restricted distribution of the album. The band intended to leave Columbia Records and find a new label since they were unhappy with how the record’s release was handled; it was subsequently verified in 2007 that the group had been dumped by the label. Further sales of the album brought its total to 1,750,000 copies.

Nick Jonas breaks through with the Jonas Brothers

Growing up in New Jersey, Jonas first became well-known as a member of the pop-rock group the Jonas Brothers, along with his two elder brothers, Joe and Kevin. They toured with artists like Kelly Clarkson, Jesse McCartney, the Backstreet Boys, Aly & AJ, and the Cheetah Girls after releasing their debut album, It’s About Time, in 2005.
