Her first TV serial was Champion on Aakash Bangla channel produced by Ideas Creation. Her second project which brought her name and fame was a soap opera titled ‘Ganeer Oparey’ produced by ‘Ideas Creations’. The show ran from June 28, 2010, to April 16, 2011.

The screenplay of this serial is written by famous filmmaker Rituparno Ghosh. On 7th December 2012, she made her debut as an actress in the film ‘Bapi Bari Jaa’ after six years in the TV serial project Gaaner Oparey, a tribute to Rabindranath Tagore on his 150th birth anniversary. Produced by Ideas Creations and Sri Venkatesh Films, the film stars Arjun Chakraborty opposite Mimi. ‘Bapi Bari Jaa’ features Mimi as ‘Dola’ and Arjun as ‘Bapi’. This is their second venture, earlier they acted together in ‘Gaaner Oparey’.
