Jacqueline Fernandez (Sri Lankan Actress ) Biography

Jacqueline Fernandez is a well-known Indian actress who has primarily worked in the Bollywood sector. The well-known films Judwaa 2, Kick, and Roy In 2006, Jacqueline represented Sri Lanka as Miss Universe. Jacqueline had always dreamed of being a Hollywood star, which is why she enrolled at the John School of Acting. He has also worked on television as a reporter. Jacky had traveled to India to model, and as soon as she arrived, she went to the audition for the film Aladdin and was cast in it.

At the age of 37, Fernandez was born in Manama, Bahrain, in August 1985. She conducted her schooling at Sacred Heart School, Bahrain. She later completed additional coursework in mass communication at Australia’s University of Sydney. In Sri Lanka, Jacqueline Fernandez was born into a Sinhalese family. She attended Holy Crest Girls School in Manama, Bahrain. After that, she finished her degree at Melbourne, Australia’s Murrey University. She then started modeling.

Career

2009- 2013:

• In 2009, Fernandez auditioned for Sujoy Ghosh’s film Aladin while traveling to India for a modeling assignment. 
• This went on to become her debut. She starred opposite Riteish Deshmukh as his love interest, and played a character whose role was inspired by Princess Jasmine. 
• The film went on to be a critical and a commercial failure even with the starring of Amitabh Bachachan in it. However, Jacqueline Fernandez managed to bag the IIFA Award for Star Debut of the Year- Female.
• In 2010, she starred opposite Riteish Deshmukh again in the science fiction romantic comedy titled Jaane Kahan Se Aayi Hai. The plot revolves around her as the main protagonist who is originally from Venus and lands on Earth in search of love. 
• 2011 was the year Fernandez had her first commercial success, a whole two years after her debut in the form of the movie Murder 2, starring Emraan Hashmi. The film went on to become a turning point in her career.

2014-2022:

• 2014 started with her appearing in the action film Kick which was also Sajid Nadiadwala’s directorial debut, opposite Salman Khan. The film was a remake of a 2009 Telugu film of the same name. 
• The film and Fernandez herself both received mixed reviews from the critics but managed to gross a massive worldwide revenue of 3.75 billion rupees and went on to become the fourth highest grossing Bollywood movie of that time.
• In 2015, Fernandez appeared in two films; Roy and Brothers. 
• Firstly, she starred in the film Roy opposite Arjun Rampal and Ranbir Kapoor. She played dual roles of both Ayesha Amir; a filmmaker in a relationship with another filmmaker (Arjun Rampal), and that of Tia Desai; a girl who is in love with a thief (Ranbir Kapoor).
• The film received negative reviews and was a commercial failure.

• Money Laundering Controversy

Sukesh Chandrashekhar was rumored to be Jacqueline Fernandez’s boyfriend for a very long period. Jacqueline Fernandez isn’t bothered by the controversy, even if her alleged relationship with scammer Sukesh Chandrasekhar is causing her a lot of trouble. After Sukesh’s private images were leaked online, Jacqueline previously changed who she was online. She took a break from Instagram posting for a bit. This time, though, the actress doesn’t seem to be worried by the reports that her property has been confiscated by the Enforcement Directorate (ED) in relation to the about Rs 7 crore Sukesh Chandrashekar money laundering case.

According to the agency’s calculations, conman Sukesh gave the actress gifts valued at Rs. 5.71 crores and gave Jacqueline’s family members loans of over US$173,000 and approximately AU$27,000.

Fernandez has been the focus of an inquiry into a $200 million money laundering case since December 2021. The Enforcement Directorate (ED), which is conducting the inquiry, questioned Fernandez about the case on December 9, 2021, for a total of 10 hours. Fernandez’s request to have the Lookout Circular (LOC) issued against her in the case that prevents her from traveling outside of India downgraded was denied by the ED on December 22.
