Ishan Kishan was born on 18 July 1998 in Patna, Bihar, India. Due to an issue between BCCI and Bihar board, he started playing for the neighboring state of Jharkhand with the advice of a friend and former cricketer. He belongs to the state that has given birth to MS Dhoni, who Kishan idolized.
Mother Suchita Singh wanted her son to become a doctor by educating him. But, Ishaan did not seem to mind in the slightest of studies. He used to make cricket-related pictures in his copy during class. Mother often used to scold him for playing his cricket. He was also expelled from school because of being weak in his studies. - Domestic career
Kishan made his first-class debut for Jharkhand in 2014. He caught the eyes of selectors when he performed brilliantly in this debut Ranji trophy in 2014. When he scored a double century against Delhi, that was considered the highest score by a player from Jharkhand in the 2017-18 Ranji trophy. He was a lead run-scorer in the 2018- 19 Vijay Hazare Trophy.
- International career
He became extremely popular when he was picked up under the 19 World Cup 2016 in Dhaka. Despite his fair performance in the World Cup, his team finished up as a runner-up with his brilliant captaincy skills.
In the year 2021, Ishan was included in the squad of 15 people of Team India for India vs England T20 series in Narendra Modi Stadium, Ahmadabad. He is not there in the first match of the series but Indian cricket team captain Virat Kohli Includes him in a second T20 match.
