Darshan Nalkande is an Indian Cricketer who plays for Vidarbha in domestic cricket as a bowler, He is a Right arm fast medium bowler and Right handed batsman. He is currently playing all three short domestic formet. Currently he is playing for Gujrat Titans in Indian premier league(IPL) As a bowler. Previesly he was part of Kings 11 punjab in ipl since 2021 season.He made his List-A, First Class and T20 debut while playing for the Vidarbha team.

Darshan Nalkande was born on 4 October 1998 in Vardha, Maharastra, India. Darshan was very fond of playing cricket since childhood and he started playing cricket with his elder brother Gaurav in the house from a very young age. He has also played a lot with his school cricket team and has represented the school cricket team at different levels. After that Darshan went for a summer camp at Akola Cricket Club in Akola, Maharastra. In that camp The coaches was impressed by his cricket skills and suggest him to play cricket as a professionally.

Darshan Nalkande Early Life

Darshan was born on 4th October 1998 in the Wardha district of Maharashtra. He grew up playing cricket with full passion and started taking professional coaching in a residency academy in Nagpur when he was 13 years old. He is now a professional cricketer and known for his bowling.

Darshan started his career as a bowler has also contributed well from both ball and bat for his teams. He made his first-class debut in November 2018 when he played against Maharashtra, representing Vidarbha in the 2018-19 season of the Ranji Trophy. Before that, he had already made his List A debut for the same team, playing his first match against Maharashtra on October 2, 2018. In that match, he impressed everyone with an all-round performance. With the ball, he took 2-26 and with the bat he scored 52* runs off 30 balls. Besides, Darshan has also performed well in Under-23 CK Nayudu Trophy which earned him a state team call-up for the Vijay Hazare trophy. He was also picked in the India U-19 team for the youth Asia cup back in 2017 as he scored 38 runs and picked up three wickets in the two games that he played. 

In the same year, he was roped in by the Kings XI Punjab in the IPL auction for the 2019 season. The next year saw him making his T20 debut for Vidarbha, playing against Himachal Pradesh. He is yet to play for Kings XI Punjab in the IPL.

He made his domestic cricket debut for the Vidarbha team with the List A cricket format on 1 November 2018, and he played his first matches against the Maharashtra team. And after that, he was selected for t20 formats cricket in 2019, and then he debut in IPL with Rajasthan Royals (RR) team in the 2022 year.

He made his Debut in First-Class Cricket on 1st November 2018 while playing with the Vidarbha team, and till now he got a chance to play only 3 First-Class cricket matches in which he has taken 1 wicket.

Nalkande’s List A Cricket debut

He made his List A debut against the Maharashtra team on 2 October 2018, and he has got a chance to play 17 matches of List A cricket so far in which he has taken 28 wickets at an economy of 5.67.

T20 debut

At the same time, he made his debut in T20 cricket playing against the Himachal Pradesh team on 21 February 2019, and he has played 23 T20 matches so far in which he has taken 45 wickets by giving runs at an economy of 7.45.

He has selected for the first time in the IPL auction of the year 2018 season by the team of Punjab Kings, and he played his IPL debut match against the Chennai Super King (CSK) team on 1 April 2019.
And after that, he was released by the team of Punjab Kings in the year 2021 and he has been bought by the team of Gujarat Titans in the IPL Mega Option of the year 2022, and he is part of the Gujarat Titans team in the year 2022.
