Dil Hai Hindustani
It’s referred to as The Show. The singer said that his parents had no concept what it meant to want to become rappers when he told them he wanted to be one. So instead of bothering to explain them, he just kept his head down, working, studying, doing a few jobs, and occasionally following his passion for music.
Badshah remembered the day he parked an expensive car outside his house and his parents were horrified. When they asked how he could afford the car, he claimed that he purchased it by performing music. Then, he claims, his father realized that his profession might help his son financially.
Badshah stated that because his father didn’t mind if his son performed on television, he was oblivious of his previous musical career. Since rapping is not a common occupation, his father was more worried about whether he was making enough money to live on. It took Badshah five years to tell and convince his parents that he wanted to be a musician. Since he was among the first rappers to perform in Hindi and there was no established norm or precedent, he asserted that they were uneasy. The singer stated that Sonu Nigam is a great role model for anyone aspiring to be a singer, but he was unable to pursue his dream because there was no one in the industry at the time.
He claimed that his parents were quite disturbed by it since they were concerned about if their youngster was abusing drugs or acting out in other inappropriate ways. But in the end, everything came together, and he started earning a respectable salary.

- Case of fake views on the song Pagal (2019)
His 2019 song ‘Paagal’ set the record for the most watched YouTube video in a single day with 74.8 million views in just one day. Due to his low number of likes in the first 24 hours, BTS fans claimed that the artist had purchased the views to break the record, but YouTube has not confirmed whether the views are real or fake. The song was also absent from the week’s 100-position Global Top Music Videos chart. Badshah acknowledged that his record company, Sony Music India, had purchased paid Google Ads but denied that they were fake views.
Because Badshah’s record label, Sony Music India, had paid for Google and YouTube ads that either featured the video or directed fans to it, YouTube refused to accept the song. But it turns out that record labels for former record holders like Ariana Grande and Blackpink have employed similar strategies in the past, and this is a global trend in the music industry. His song “Genda Phool” was released by Sony Music India in 2020. A folk tune from Bengal, “Boro Loker Biti Lo,” was incorporated.
