  • Anil Kapoor is an Indian actor and producer who has had a long and successful career in the film industry. He was born on 24 December 1956 in Chembur, Bombay, India. His father, Surinder Kapoor, was a film producer, and his mother, Nirmal Kapoor, was a homemaker.
  • Anil was the second of four children; he has one elder sister, Reena and an elder brother Bonney Kapoor, and a younger brother, Sanjay.
  • Growing up, Anil was an avid reader and had a keen interest in sports. He attended the Our Lady of Perpetual Succour High School in Chembur and completed his high school education at St. Xavier’s College in Bombay.
  • After his schooling, he studied at Elphinstone College, where he earned a degree in Economics,  before joining Roshan Taneja’s acting school.
  • Anil Kapoor made his acting debut with the 1979 film Hamare Tumhare, in which he played a minor role. However, his breakthrough role was in the 1983 hit film Woh Saat Din, in which he starred alongside Padmini Kolhapure.

  • Few people are aware that Anil Kapoor has training in semi-classical singing. When it comes to talent, he has it all.
