Aamir Khan (born March 14, 1965, Bombay [now Mumbai], India) Indian film actor who was known for his consistent performances and intelligent choice of scripts. His insistence on a complete script before shooting and working on only one film at a time heralded a new professionalism in Bollywood.
Khan was born into a family of filmmakers: his father, Tahir Hussain, was a producer; uncle Nasir Hussain was a leading producer-director in the 1970s; and cousin Mansoor Khan was also a director. In 1973 Aamir began his film career with a role in the hit drama Yaadon ki baaraat (Procession of Memories). However, after appearing in Madhosh (1974; “Drunk”), he did not return to the big screen again until Holi (1985).

Early Life
Aamir Khan was born into a family of filmmakers. As a child actor, he appeared in two minor roles. His debut film was in 1973 when he was eight years old. It was the Bollywood masala movie, Yaadon Ki Baaraat. Later, in 1983, he appeared in Madhosh where he was playing Mahendra Sandhu’s character’s younger version. Aamir joined J.B. Petit School in Mumbai for his primary education. He also went to Mumbai’s St.High Anne’s School and Bombay Scottish School. Aamir had a great interest in lawn tennis and had great participated in several state championships representing his school. He has also won the Maharashtra state tennis championship.
He did not continue his education after 12th grade as they had financial troubles. “There would be at least 30 calls a day from creditors calling for their money,” he said. He also said that the school could have expelled him any day as he was failing to pay his fees.
Career
Khan made his acting debut as a young actor in the 1973 film ‘Yaadon Ki Baraat’, which was directed by Aziz Ansari. It was a film by his uncle Nasir Hussain, who was in attendance. He started his acting career as an adult with the film Holi (1984) and then achieved significant success in the film business with the film Qayamat Se Qayamat Tak (1988), in which he played the main role. That marked the beginning of Aamir Khan’s most illustrious acting career, which progressed steadily throughout the decade of the 1990s. A series of financially successful films, including Dil (1990) and Raja Hindustani (1991), was released during this decade, and he continued to build a solid basis for his acting career (1996).
