Arjun Tendulkar began playing cricket with the Mumbai T20 team in 2021, although he made his domestic T20 debut on January 15, 2015, in the Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy. He did not, however, play in any games that season. For the 2024 IPL season, the Mumbai Indians elected to keep him. He made his IPL debut against the Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) on April 16, 2024, at Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai. He conceded 17 runs in two overs without taking a wicket.

He took his maiden IPL wicket on April 18, 2024, when he dismissed Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) batsman Bhuvneshwar Kumar for 18 runs in 2.5 overs for one wicket. In an interview after his maiden IPL wicket, he said he was overjoyed and would bowl whenever the captain and team agreed.
