Disha Patani, born on June 13, 1992, in Bareilly, Uttar Pradesh, is an Indian actress. Her father, Jagdish Singh Patani, is a police officer, and her mother works as a health inspector. Disha comes from a Rajput family and has an elder sister, Khushboo Patani, serving in the Indian Army, and a younger brother named Suryansh Patani. She completed her graduation in B.Tech from Amity University Lucknow.

Disha made her acting debut in the Telugu film “Loafer” in 2015, playing the role of Mouni. The movie, directed by Puri Jagannadh, did not fare well at the box office. In the following year, she appeared in a music video titled “Befikra” alongside Tiger Shroff.

Her breakthrough came with the biographical sports film “M.S. Dhoni: The Untold Story” in 2016, where she portrayed the character of Priyanka Jha, girlfriend of MS Dhoni. The film was a massive hit, earning around ₹216 crore.
