- Steve Smith was born Steven Peter Devereux Smith, on June 2, 1989, in Kogarah, Sydney, New South Wales. His father, Peter Smith, worked as a chemist. His mother, Gillian, was a homemaker. Steve Smith Career
On February 5, 2010, Steve Smith made his T20 International debut in Melbourne. He was a leg-spinner in his time with the team. In the same month against West Indies, he made his One Day International debut. In July 2010, against Pakistan at Lords, he made his test debut. During this series, everyone took notice of his hitting abilities. He was then assigned the job of a batsman in the Ashes series in 2010-2011.
Smith went to India in 2013 after leaving in 2011. Smith’s first century was scored in 2013. In Sharjah against Pakistan in 2014, he scored his maiden ODI century.
