Many performers from that time frame, including Kader Khan, talked about it.
- Shatrughan Sinha and Amitabh Bachchan had numerous blockbusters together, including Naseeb, Kala Patthar, Shaan, and Dostana, but their friendship was explosive rather than strong. Amitabh tried to embarrass Shatrughan Sinha multiple times. According to Shatrughan Sinha’s autobiography and numerous interviews, he claimed that Amitabh didn’t want to watch Big Stars with him. Thus, he discarded Shatrughan Sinha from several projects.
- Amitabh Bachchan was known for his stunning co-star Rekha. Even though Big B was married to Jaya Bhaduri, their bond with the family became stronger. Jaya eventually intervened and talked directly to Rekha and told Amitabh that they should never work together again or have any connection. His marriage was only saved due to her decision.
- Because of his connections with the Gandhi family during his political career, Amitabh Bachchan’s name was also drawn into the Bofors scandal. The actor had gone to court for his alleged involvement in the scandal, and during the trial, he was given dispensation, and his name was cleared.
- Amitabh Bachchan faced criticism for sending Kumar Vishwas a legal notice. He was unhappy when Vishwas copied Harivansh Rai Bachchan’s poetry and posted it on YouTube in his speech. Kumar then responded by sending Amitabh Rs 32 that he got through YouTube for that post.
- Former Miss India Sayali Bhagat had accused Amitabh Bachchan of sexual assault on social media, mentioning several stars. The actor filed a complaint, and it was later claimed on Sayali’s behalf claiming her account was hacked, and she had not made the post.
Political Career
In 1984, Indira Gandhi was assassinated. Rajiv Gandhi convinced Amitabh Bachchan to enter politics during this time and leave the film industry.
A growing number of people were drawn in by Bachchan’s fans’ excitement when he first started campaigning. In addition, the Election Commission acted impartially by directing Doordarshan to refrain from airing any Amitabh Bachchan movies while the Election Code of Conduct was in effect.
At that time, Bachchan defeated Hemvati Nandan Bahuguna, the Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh and a former member of the Congress, in the elections held in contravention of the ban.
After reaching a pinnacle in his career, Amitabh Bachchan quit politics due to the disastrous fallout from the Bofors scandal. It was at this point that he reconciled with Stardust’s MD, Nari Hira, and resolved the issue, ending the fifteen-year movie ban.
Even though Amitabh had lost his reputation as a “hero” in Bollywood, he was nevertheless successful there because to hits like Mohabbatein, Agneepath, Hum, and Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham. However, his parts in these films were not as important as they were in the 1970s, when he was the only angry young man.

She had previously alleged that Mr. Bachchan had tried to murder her, but it was later determined that she was suffering from schizophrenia. Her incapacity to love and receive support from her family led her psychiatrist to conclude that she was suffering from paranoid schizophrenia. If she had a kind and compassionate loved one at her side, she could have been able to receive treatment for her illness and her life might have turned out differently.
When she died, Amitabh paid her tributes, telling her that she was a lovely lady and that he often went to her house because they were in the same social circle. He refuted the claim by stating that the nature of her illness made her fearful of people and prone to various severe delusions and hallucinations.
