Born in Gwangju, South Korea on February 18, 1994, Jung Hoseok, also known by his stage name, j-hope, is a rapper and dancer from that country. He is presently the lead rapper and major dancer for the South Korean hip-hop group BTS (Hangul: 방탄소년단).
Prior to making his BTS debut, he was a member of the street dance group NEURON. After passing the audition for his current firm, Big Hit Entertainment, in the spring of 2010, he began receiving proper training alongside his academic studies at Gwangju. The free collaboration track “Chicken Noodle Soup,” featuring American singer Becky G, was released by J-Hope on September 27, 2019.
